The Senior Project Engineer Role
The Senior Project Engineer (SPE) role provides engineers with additional access to project dockets and enhanced editing and approval capabilities in Virtual Superintendent.

Permissions
To access the Senior Project Engineeer dockets page (Menu > Senior Project Engineer) and to be granted the additional docket management capabilities associated with the Senior Project Engineer role, you must have the following permissions:
- Dockets Engineer
- Dockets Senior Project Engineer
Note: To bulk approve dockets assigned to other engineers, you must also have the Dockets Engineer Bulk Approve permission.
Role Capabilities
The Senior Project Engineer role provides access to the Senior Project Engineer page, which has two dockets views:
| Docket View | Description |
| My Dockets | Displays dockets assigned to you. This is the default view. |
| All Dockets | Displays all project dockets, including those assigned to other engineers. |
This role also adds the following capabilities:
| Capability | Description |
| View dockets | View all project dockets, including those assigned to other engineers. |
| Edit dockets | Edit the Cost Code, Supervisor, and Engineer fields in accepted dockets assigned to other engineers. |
| Approve or reject dockets | Approve or reject accepted dockets assigned to other engineers. |
| Bulk approve dockets | Bulk approve dockets assigned to other engineers. Requires the additional Dockets Engineer Bulk Approve permission. |
Note: You can only edit, approve, or reject dockets that are in the Accepted state, including those assigned to other engineers.
